Waterproof Flooring

Why do I need waterproof flooring?

Waterproof floors will give you the ultimate peace of mind, providing the highest level of moisture protection. These floors are ideal for wet rooms like the kitchen and bath but stylish enough for the living space and bedroom, and we all know accidents can as quickly happen anywhere.

What does waterproof mean?

It's essential to understand this, so you know what you are getting immediately. Waterproof means utterly impervious to liquid. It's made from waterproof materials, such as waterproof flooring options like porcelain tile, glazed ceramic 4 X 4 squares, or luxury vinyl. Often, it's impervious from bottom to top, meaning it can be submerged or spilled on. At the same time, water-resistant refers to a product being repellent to liquid, but only for a short time before it can break the barrier and soak through to the core.

What is waterproof flooring?

This is a newer, more advanced version of luxury vinyl (LVF). It is thicker, more durable, and uses the WPC (wood plastic composite) and SPC (stone plastic composite) cores which will never peel or ripple no matter how much water there is or for how long. While the two cores offer the same level of moisture protection, the difference is in the feeling underfoot. WPC is warmer and more resilient, while SPC is firm and rigid, like a hard surface.

This flooring has the same high-end style of LVF with true-to-life images of wood, stone, and tile, with vibrant colors, patterns, and micro beveling and embossing to add depth, dimension, and textured looks. It's easy to clean and has a simple installation, especially when it's a floating floor where the pieces click together, mat, and hover over the subfloor without nails and glue.
